SportsBuddy is a multi-sport tournament management platform. It runs an amateur or grass-roots tournament end to end — team registration, squad building, fixture scheduling, live scoring, standings and player statistics — across cricket, pickleball, volleyball, football, badminton, table tennis, padel and tennis. Organizers, team owners, players and scorers work in the mobile app; spectators follow live scores on sportsbuddy.live without installing anything.

SportsBuddy supports eight sports, each with its own purpose-built scoring engine rather than one generic scoreboard: cricket (ball by ball, including box-cricket rules), volleyball, football, badminton, table tennis, pickleball, padel and tennis. Padel and tennis use a dedicated set-scoring engine that handles games, tiebreaks, deuce modes and super tiebreaks.

Yes. The SportsBuddy app is free to download on Google Play and the App Store, and no subscription is required to play in a tournament or to follow live scores. Spectators can watch matches on sportsbuddy.live without an account at all.

Sign up in the SportsBuddy app and choose the Organizer role. From the organizer dashboard, create the tournament with its sport, dates, venue and format, then approve the teams that register, generate the fixtures, and assign a scorer to each match. Yes. SportsBuddy's cricket scorer records every delivery — runs, extras, wickets, strike rotation, free hits and retirements — and pushes the result to spectators in real time. It also supports configurable box-cricket rules, so house rules like bonus-run zones and negative-run zones can be set per tournament instead of being scored on paper.

SportsBuddy is built offline-first because tournaments happen on grounds with poor connectivity. A scorer can keep recording a match while the connection drops, and the app syncs the recorded events automatically once it is back online.

Yes. Every public tournament and match on SportsBuddy has a web page on sportsbuddy.live that shows live scores, fixtures, results and standings. No account and no app install is needed to open it, so an organizer can share a single link with everyone watching.

The app is listed on both stores as "The Sports Buddy". The website brand is SportsBuddy and the domain is sportsbuddy.live — it is the same product, and searching either name on the stores finds it.

SportsBuddy has five roles, and the one chosen at sign-up decides which dashboard appears. Organizer runs the tournament and approves teams and fixtures. Team Owner builds a squad and enters tournaments. Player joins squads and accumulates career stats. Scorer records live matches from the field. Spectator follows scores without managing anything. Pick the one matching what you actually do at the tournament — the role can be changed later from your profile.

Yes. SportsBuddy maintains standings live as matches are scored, applying the tournament's own points configuration for a win, tie or loss, and computes cricket net run rate automatically. Tournaments with group stages get one table per group, with the configured number of teams qualifying to the knockout rounds.
